Partner spotlight: The International Baccalaureate
UWC and the International Baccalaureate (IB) have worked closely together for decades to shape learning that combines academic rigour with global responsibility.
That partnership continues to evolve through the Systems Transformation Pathway (STP), a pilot programme developed jointly by UWC and the IB to explore how climate education can move beyond theory into practical, real-world action.
Instead of traditional exam structures, students work on applied projects connected to areas such as biodiversity, energy and food systems, combining systems thinking, leadership and collaborative problem-solving.
Two hundred students across two pilot colleges, UWC Atlantic and UWC South East Asia, are already part of the programme, helping to shape new approaches to climate and sustainability learning.
