UWC attracts students from very different educational systems and backgrounds to study together in a range of programmes including full primary and secondary education, the two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) offered across all 18 UWC schools and colleges, and the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP). Specific academic offerings vary from one UWC school to another.
Many students in the IBDP/IBCP years arrive from conflict-affected or under-resourced contexts. For some, the IBDP/IBCP years are their first experience of living outside their home country or studying in the English language
UWC students were examined in 73 first-language literature subjects, reflecting the linguistic and socio-cultural diversity present across UWC campuses.
These outcomes reflect academic rigour alongside the strength of a model built on lived diversity, structured support and shared responsibility.
Students from different countries, cultures and life experiences live and learn together.
Academic study is combined with service, leadership and collaboration.
Young people learn how to navigate differences and act in their communities.
Graduates carry these experiences into universities, professions and civic life around the world.
