Partner spotlight: Davis UWC Scholars Program

Founded in 2000 by philanthropist Shelby Davis and former UWC International Executive Director Philip O. Geier, the Davis UWC Scholars Program has helped generations of UWC graduates continue their education at partner universities across the United States.

Today, more than 4,600 Davis UWC Scholars are studying across 106 American campuses. They represent 163 countries and are graduates of all 18 UWC schools and colleges. Since the programme began, more than 17,000 students have been supported through the partnership.

The programme has become one of the most significant pathways connecting a UWC education to higher education opportunities in the United States. Davis UWC Scholars contribute to university communities through the perspectives, languages and lived experiences they bring from across the world.

Among them is Christine Antaya, a graduate of UWC Maastricht and a Davis UWC Scholar at Minerva University. Christine went on to build a career across technology and social impact, including roles at Microsoft and LinkedIn, reflecting the wide range of paths Davis UWC Scholars go on to pursue after UWC.
