In focus: a community beyond graduation

UWC NYC began as a UWCx initiative. It is now an established alumni network in New York, running regular meetups, seasonal gatherings and a structured mentoring programme. In 2025, more than 200 attended the UWC Day celebration and the second Annual UWC Convocation, and 177 took part in the pilot mentoring programme. Since then, the network has continued to grow, with more than 2,500 alumni in its wider database and over 1,100 connected through its WhatsApp community.

UWC NYC shows how relationships formed at school can evolve into lasting networks that support professional exchange, civic engagement and peer mentoring across generations.
